Why isn't this item available?

Sometimes, certain items of clothing, colors, or sizes are no longer available: this means we’ve sold more than we anticipated, so we have to restart production. And that usually takes a little time (between 4 and 6 months). Sometimes, it’s not worth restarting production right away: for example, if we’re out of stock on our swimsuits in July, there’s no point in restarting production immediately, since it takes at least 6 months and not many people will want to buy our swimsuits at Christmas. Another example: if we’ve sold out of all XS sizes but still have plenty of stock in the other sizes, we can’t place a new order just for that size, because we wouldn’t meet our factories’ minimum production quantities.
